DMP Unveils New XTLplus™ Wireless Packages

Introducing new XTLplus™ Packages from DMP. The XTLplus Classic Package includes a 7-inch Touchscreen Keypad, 3 door/window contacts, a motion detector and siren. Additionally, the XTLplus Premium Package also includes a video doorbell.

These all-wireless solutions allow for easy, flexible installation. Network communication is FREE. Plus no NOC gives your customers constant signal transmission. These systems are full of features dealers and end users will love:

  • Save time with Two-Way wireless. Install a system with only one technician.
  • Wireless signals can’t be jammed or hacked due to 900 MHz frequency-hopping-spread-spectrum technology.
  • Reduce false alarms with the False Alarm Question. With DMP panels, in an alarm event, when a user enters their code, the siren is silenced while the panel remains in the alarm state. The user is then prompted to confirm if the event is a real alarm. Competitor alarm panels will silence, disarm and send a cancellation signal to the monitoring center the moment a user code is entered, potentially leaving the system owner in a vulnerable position.
  • During an alarm state, the screen on DMP keypads turns red. They remain red until the system is reset, providing a visual warning of potential danger to anyone entering the building.
  • Easily arm/disarm areas from one screen. Quickly see the arming status of all areas and arm and disarm each one individually.
  • Verify who armed or disarmed the system by capturing snapshots of all arming and disarming events.
  • View live and recorded video. Speak to guests or delivery drivers through the video doorbell, all from the 7-inch keypad.

Bring the stylish and intuitive 7-inch Touchscreen Keypad experience to your customers with a wireless, distributed system. Installing the panel, keypad and siren in separate parts of the home or business makes the system less vulnerable to tampering. If intruders try to damage the keypad, the control panel continues sending signals to the monitoring center.

“This is a fully wireless solution that can be installed very quickly. It also allows you to take advantage of the tools we have in Dealer Admin,” says Aaron McGhee, product manager of control panels at DMP. “This system gives customers a beautiful display and all the features they desire while adding critical security measures that all-in-one solutions do not provide.”

These comprehensive packages give professional alarm dealers everything home and small business owners are expecting from a high-end security system at an extremely competitive price point.

Verkada Released Results of its 2024 State of Cloud Physical Security Report

TMA member and cloud-based physical security solutions provider Verkada released the results of its 2024 State of Cloud Physical Security report. Based on insights from IT and physical security leaders across various sectors, the findings “look at current trends, insights, and challenges within the industry as it transitions from on-premises setups to cloud-based ones,” according to the company announcement.

“Verkada was founded in 2016 to bring the physical security industry to the cloud,” says Priyanka Srinivasan, vice president of product marketing at Verkada, in the announcement. “The results of this survey affirm our hypothesis and show that the industry is embracing the cloud and ready to get more out of their physical security systems.

“In addition to centralizing management, fully integrated cloud-managed solutions create an ideal foundation for AI-powered functionalities, like advanced video analytics and predictive modeling,” she says.

Key findings of the Verkada’s 2024 State of Cloud Physical Security report include:

A growing consensus on cloud-based future. More than 90 percent of security leaders agree the future of physical security lies in cloud-based solutions, which will enable organizations to implement greater scalability, real-time alerting and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.

High cloud transition intentions and urgent adoption timelines. Seven in 10 survey respondents expect to increase their spending on physical security systems in 2025, which aligns with the finding that 75 percent of security leaders are planning to transition to the cloud within the next 12 months, with 96 percent aiming to complete this transition within the next 18 months.

Shifting attitudes on cyber readiness. Nine out of 10 respondents believe cloud security improved over the past five years and will ensure data is fully protected during transmission and storage, effectively guarding against risks such as data leakage and illegal access.

Integration of AI to security solutions is essential. More than 80 percent of security leaders think AI-based video analytics, such as automated alerts and predictive modeling, will have a major impact on the future of proactive physical security postures.

The Harris Poll surveyed 1,518 U.S. security professionals on behalf of Verkada from March 19 to April 16, 2024. Employees of U.S. companies with 100 or more employees who are direct users and involved in determining security requirements or influence final purchasing decisions regarding their company’s physical security infrastructure were included in the sample for analysis.

NAPCO Security Technologies Wins 2024 Innovation Award at ESX

NAPCO Security Technologies is pleased to announce that its new Super Dual™ StarLink Fire Max2 Supervised Dual Sim/Dual Path Communicator was named 2024 Innovation Award Winner at the Electronic Security Expo (ESX) in Louisville, KY. ESX Innovation Award winners are selected for innovation and driving efficiency and profitability, by an independent panel of industry judges who use a specific set of criteria, including ingenuity, applicability, response to market need, etc, each year at the Annual Exposition for the largest professional membership association in the security industry.

Stephen Spinelli, SVP of Sales at NAPCO commented “We are honored to receive the prestigious 2024 ESX Innovation Award for our Super Dual StarLink Fire Max2 Dual Sim FACP Communicator, it is the latest labor-saving product in the StarLink Series for Fire & Life Safety, uniquely saving dealers time by eliminating the need for an IP /IT connection in UL 864-Listed Dual Path reporting requirements, while maximizing dependability. The initial market response in sales orders has been very gratifying as well.  ”

The Super Dual is a NAPCO exclusive, dual supervised cell-only option, available on all its dual sim StarLink Fire Max2 5G cellular FACP Communicators, now at all distributors at new low equipment and service rates (w/ instant rebate). UL 864 Listed Super Dual™ plan uses two supervised dual cellular-network communication paths, Verizon + AT&T – instead of IP connections (a red and blue color LED indicators onboard shows which is active.) By automatically switching between the supervised cell carrier paths dynamically, it can provide better supervised life-safety reporting by avoiding reliance on IT networks, prone to future changes, reboots, updates, etc.  Super Dual saves dealers significant time, labor, and pain points by eliminating IP connection hassles, IT delays &/or firewall issues.

Available at all Napco Distributors, StarLink Fire Max2 Dual Sim/Dual Path FACU Communicator is the ideal UL 864-Listed solution that maximizes your commercial fire business’ Recurring Monthly Revenue (RMR) while minimizing accounts’ operational expenses vs POTS lines. It is easy to standardize on, as just one model, for both Verizon & AT&T, can be stocked on the truck, working seamlessly, regardless of the installation location or code requirements. It offers three modes: Sole path cellular, traditional dual path cell/IP, and the industry’s only Super Dual™ supervised dual cell-only or dual path (selectable by plan).

For more ask your Napco RSM, take a free class online or in person, and the StarLink Fire Max2 will be featured at NFPA Fire Expo in Orlando, June 17-19, Booth 1927.
