Scholarship Eligibility and Application
The Scholarship is open to anyone studying an electronics curriculum, specifically electronic communications, or software development related to electronic communications, regardless of financial need. Students seeking such a degree in electrical engineering or an associate degree in electronics at any nationally accredited educational institution may apply.
Requirements
For students entering the first year in a qualifying educational institution:
- A letter of acceptance from the educational institution and evidence of enrollment in
the institution.
- An official high-school transcript, including GPA.
- A list of extracurricular activities and of any honors received.
- A resume or CV
- An essay of no more than 500 words explaining your passion for
electronic communications and your reason for study this field.
For students further in their studies in a qualifying educational institution:
- An official transcript, including GPA from the educational institution.

Note: There will not be any financial requirements.
The application deadline for 2025-26 is March 15, 2025. The winner will be announced and the scholarship will be dispersed in August 2025. The recipient will be formally recognized at the 2025 TMA Annual Meeting in October 2025.

Donations to the Scholarship fund may be made in any amount by check payable to The Monitoring Association. In the note field, please designate the funds are for the Louis T. Fiore Electronic Communications Scholarship fund.
