The Louis T. Fiore Electronic Communications Scholarship was established in October 2022 to honor Mr. Fiore’s enduring contribution to the alarm industry and the Alarm Industry Communications Committee (AICC). The scholarship is intended to promote careers in electronic communications.

Scholarship Eligibility and Application

The Scholarship is open to anyone studying electrical engineering, specifically electronic communications, or software development related to electronic communications, regardless of financial need. Students at any nationally accredited educational institution, including vocational schools, two-year colleges, or other institutions of higher learning may apply.

Requirements
For students entering the first year in a qualifying educational institution:

  • A letter of acceptance from the educational institution and evidence of enrollment in
    the institution.
  • An official high-school transcript, including GPA.
  • A list of extracurricular activities and of any honors received.
  • A resume or CV
  • An essay of no more than 500 words explaining your passion for
    electronic communications and your reason for study this field.

For students further in their studies in a qualifying educational institution:

  • An official transcript, including GPA from the educational institution.
  • A list of extracurricular activities and of any honors received.
  • A resume or CV
  • An essay of no more than 500 words explaining your passion for
    electronic communications and your reason for study this field.

Note: There will not be any financial requirements.
