The Monitoring Association (TMA) is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment in all of TMA’s activities. All participants, including but not limited to committee members, attendees, speakers, staff, service providers and other volunteers, are expected to abide by TMA’s Code of Conduct.
This code applies to all TMA activities, including committee meetings, meetings/functions sponsored by organizations other than TMA, but held in conjunction with TMA events, either in public or private facilities. In addition, TMA members must adhere to TMA’s Code of Ethics. Per the bylaws, TMA’s meetings are conducted in accordance with Robert’s Rules of Order.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
- Treat others with respect, inclusivity, and consideration, recognizing that this activity is a place for diversity of thought.
- Communicate openly with respect for others, avoiding personal attacks, and be respectful of speakers.
- Alert staff if you notice any discriminatory, harassing, aggressive, or exclusionary behavior or speech.
- Avoid disruption of discussions or presentations during committee meetings, sessions, in the exhibit hall, or at other events organized by TMA.
- Comply with the instructions of TMA staff or Committee chairpersons, as applicable.
- Do not include promotional materials, special offers, job offers, product announcements, or solicitation for services in presentations, postings, and messages. TMA reserves the right to remove such messages and potentially ban sources of those solicitations.
- Do not copy or take screen shots of Q&A or any chat room activity that takes place in virtual space.
Appropriate action may be taken in the event of a breach of this Code of Conduct, including removal from the meeting and prohibition from attendance at future meetings.
