NAPCO Security Technologies Wins 2024 Innovation Award at ESX

NAPCO Security Technologies is pleased to announce that its new Super Dual™ StarLink Fire Max2 Supervised Dual Sim/Dual Path Communicator was named 2024 Innovation Award Winner at the Electronic Security Expo (ESX) in Louisville, KY. ESX Innovation Award winners are selected for innovation and driving efficiency and profitability, by an independent panel of industry judges who use a specific set of criteria, including ingenuity, applicability, response to market need, etc, each year at the Annual Exposition for the largest professional membership association in the security industry.

Stephen Spinelli, SVP of Sales at NAPCO commented “We are honored to receive the prestigious 2024 ESX Innovation Award for our Super Dual StarLink Fire Max2 Dual Sim FACP Communicator, it is the latest labor-saving product in the StarLink Series for Fire & Life Safety, uniquely saving dealers time by eliminating the need for an IP /IT connection in UL 864-Listed Dual Path reporting requirements, while maximizing dependability. The initial market response in sales orders has been very gratifying as well.  ”

The Super Dual is a NAPCO exclusive, dual supervised cell-only option, available on all its dual sim StarLink Fire Max2 5G cellular FACP Communicators, now at all distributors at new low equipment and service rates (w/ instant rebate). UL 864 Listed Super Dual™ plan uses two supervised dual cellular-network communication paths, Verizon + AT&T – instead of IP connections (a red and blue color LED indicators onboard shows which is active.) By automatically switching between the supervised cell carrier paths dynamically, it can provide better supervised life-safety reporting by avoiding reliance on IT networks, prone to future changes, reboots, updates, etc.  Super Dual saves dealers significant time, labor, and pain points by eliminating IP connection hassles, IT delays &/or firewall issues.

Available at all Napco Distributors, StarLink Fire Max2 Dual Sim/Dual Path FACU Communicator is the ideal UL 864-Listed solution that maximizes your commercial fire business’ Recurring Monthly Revenue (RMR) while minimizing accounts’ operational expenses vs POTS lines. It is easy to standardize on, as just one model, for both Verizon & AT&T, can be stocked on the truck, working seamlessly, regardless of the installation location or code requirements. It offers three modes: Sole path cellular, traditional dual path cell/IP, and the industry’s only Super Dual™ supervised dual cell-only or dual path (selectable by plan).

For more ask your Napco RSM, take a free class online or in person, and the StarLink Fire Max2 will be featured at NFPA Fire Expo in Orlando, June 17-19, Booth 1927.

NAPCO StarLink Operations Center (NOC) Receives SOC 2 Rating

NAPCO Security Technologies announces its StarLink Network Operations Center (NOC) is now SOC 2 Rated. In addition to its UL Listed Certifications, Napco’s StarLink NOC has undergone rigorous criteria to implement and meet SOC Policies & Trust Services Criteria for cybersecurity and data privacy protection, i.e., providing added security for all Napco’s Dealers’ Accounts. The Company took these important steps, even as cyberattack breaches & huge ransomware demands are becoming more aggressive and prevalent in the US, and the world at large.

While numerous corporations, healthcare providers, local government, hospitals and more, have been victimized and had to pay millions to unlock their databases, confidential files and infrastructure access, today, service companies are increasingly held responsible for taking demonstrable measures to protect and secure their customers’ data and privacy. NAPCO has done so and taken these significant precautions, to protect both its dealers and their accounts’ privacy and liability exposure.

Located within its NY Headquarters, processing millions of StarLink signals, NAPCO’s NOC is triple-reinforced, climate- & power-controlled, and UL 864 10th Ed, UL 2610, UL 1635 Listed, as well as SOC 2. In case of an emergency, it is also backed for a failover, by a Disaster Recovery NOC in Pennsylvania, for immediate, mirrored emergency switchover. In this way, unlike other manufacturers, All StarLink Signals remain within the US for rapid response in fire life-safety, when seconds saved, could mean lives.  Thus, StarLink Fire Communications offers dealers a true UL End-to-End solution, starting from a UL 864 Listed StarLink Fire Communicator, going through its NY HQ’s UL 864 NOC to any UL Central Station a dealer chooses. Additionally, StarLink Fire Communicators and the Napco NOC  won awards for cyber-security (CyberSecured New Product of Year) for Data Center Security & Remote Monitoring and Management.

NAPCO’s Alarm Lock Trilogy Access Control Locks Win Annual Maintenance Innovation Award for Safety

NAPCO Security Technologies Inc. is pleased to announce that its Alarm Lock Trilogy® Series Wireless Access Control Locks have been recognized by facility maintenance decision-makers as the award-winning locking product for the Maintenance Innovation Award in Safety. This 2022 Annual Award, just announced, is said to “recognize innovations and excellence in products, that contribute to the efficient and profitable operation and management of commercial buildings and institutions in the United States”. For over a decade, Alarm Lock’s popular Trilogy Locks have been #1 in their class, setting the benchmark when it comes to electronic access control locks, and its US-Based parent company, NAPCO, has continued to expand the line and integrate it with its other security technologies, offering a superior solution for every type of door and opening, inside and out, including schools, corporations, chain stores, airports and more.

Napco’s winning Trilogy Series Locks easily retrofit standard door locks and accept digital PIN codes or Prox ID card credentials for a few, to thousands of access control users.  The advanced wireless lock line features extra-long-life battery-operated standalone digital, prox, and classroom lock-down keyfob locks, with HID or iClass Prox readers and/or integrated wireless networking, in second-generation Trilogy Networx® wireless access locks, which add server control and optional real-time access control platform operation (using Napco’s Continental CA4K, or Lenel Systems). Trilogy Networx models offer building managers and occupants the added safety of providing global lockdown in seconds, in an emergency, activated from a server, any lock or lock group, or personal keyfobs.  BHMA Grade 1 durable, and proven low maintenance, Trilogy Networx Locks in cylindrical and mortise models, also reduce labor requirements, providing automatic lock/unlock or programming updates by schedule, eliminating door-to-door guard tour operations and audit trail queries.  Alarm Lock’s Trilogy Access Locks can be neatly installed in less than an hour, allowing facility managers and institutional and retail locksmiths to add wireless access control to one door at a time, with consistent operation, to varying door types (wood, metal, glass). The locks offer a multi-level access hierarchy, of master, management, and user codes, as well as one-time service codes, to readily customize to any business or building’s needs.

Most recently NAPCO, integrated the Trilogy Locks with new smart device App control with convenient mobile credentials, as part of its AirAccess® Cell/Cloud-Based Access Control System, which itself won multiple awards, offering easy cell-based wireless networking and central monitoring station reporting, speeding deployment, and eliminating IT Dept/Network burdens.

NAPCO offers intro classes and professional trainings online and in the field and supports the product with 24mos warranty.  For more information or to contact Napco’s Alarm Lock Team  visit www.alarmlock.com or email sales@napcosecurity.com

NAPCO Security Technologies, is pleased to offer expanded free trainings to dealers, locksmiths and integrators on both its easier-to-install, faster-to-deploy, cellular- or cloud-based access control system solutions. Its new AirAccess systems, powered by StarLink Cellular; and, E-Access software-free systems, are a great alternative to complex enterprise systems and far simple to scale for SMBs. These intro classes, cover both systems, and are designed to help security dealers get in on the profitable, in-demand, mass Access Control business, using technologies that save time and complexity, by avoiding conventional networking &/or IT-Dept interactions and delays. At ISC East, Napco held one of these free product trainings to a captivated group, presented by David Donovan, Napco Regional Sales Manager. And Napco is now expanding these free training offerings nationwide, locally and at its distributors, often as popular “lunch & learns”, as well as in online zoom presentations.

Napco offers 2 new scalable access control technology solutions , right-sized for small & medium businesses, and ideal for dealers who want to simply offer clients hotly-demanded access traditionally required by advanced access control enterprise-class networking.  First, is award-winning AirAccess® a cellular- & cloud-based system that uses Napco’s well-known StarLink Cellular to automatically make network connections, outside the customer’s IT dept network and firewall. It eliminates setup hassles, IT delays/interactions, ISP changes, etc, and can use your choice of any Wiegand readers with wireless 1-Door panels, or top-rated wireless access locks inside or out, or both. And it offers twice the RMR-earning potential, because dealers can not only host /manage their accounts’ systems remotely at the dealer’s own server, but also provide them with cellular central station monitoring and SMS cellphone alerts, as well.

Also new from Napco is E-Access, a Software-Free embedded access system that frees dealers from costs, time, and trouble spent loading access control software onsite and doing perpetual updates to it and associated drivers or hardware down the road. That’s because Napco E-Access 1-,2-, 4-door modular panels are self-contained, and use any web-browser to sign-in and manage the secure Linux-based system. Both systems, sold at Napco distributors, are super-scalable from a few doors and users to hundreds, and they offer easy smart mobile Apps with free built-in credentials and command-control and lock-down security for authorized users.
