Workgroup Minutes
A written plan of action for the restoration of service which includes foreseeable disasters, emergency list, equipment vendor contacts, municipal agency contacts, utility contacts must be developed. Plan must be reviewed every six months and dated.
When building a Disaster Preparedness plan, one must consider two types of disasters:
1. When the facility is lost, but the employees are available – physical loss.
2. When the employees are unavailable, but the facility is OK – personnel loss.
For this reason, we have divided this wiki into two parts: one addressing physical loss and another personnel loss.

2. To access the Disaster Preparedness Plan for Personnel loss, click here.
In addition, an important consideration is “How much risk is the company willing to take?” This will impact how many resources are designated (in both money and time)to prepare for a disaster. This is a decision that each company must make initially.
