UCC Mourns Loss of Longtime Employee

Harry Rossmoine, UCC’s IT Manager, passed away on Monday, 2/28/2022.  Loyal and devoted he was to both his own family and his work family. Harry was not only a great employee who was always willing to help out in any way he could, he was a friend, colleague and confidant to many. His high energy and positive attitude was infectious around the office, you never saw Harry down. He was always smiling even during the toughest days and situations. His strong faith in God was his foundation and he lived and walked his faith every single day. We take comfort knowing he is rejoicing in heaven; however Harry is greatly missed and leaves a big hole in our hearts.

His obituary:

On Monday, February 28, 2022, Harry L. Rossmoine was called Home and left his earthly body to join our Father in Heaven. Harry was a steadfast Christian, a devoted husband, and loving son, brother, father and Popi. He lived a life overflowing with faith and love for God and his family and friends.

Harry was born on July 9, 1962 in Indianapolis, IN. He accepted Christ in 1973 at Englewood Christian Church also in Indianapolis, IN.

Harry was a good son to George and Billie Crow. He was a hard worker from a young age until the end. He worked in IT for close to 40 years and was an IT Manager at the time of his passing. Harry struggled in school but not because he could not do the work but he was bored and did not always do the work. He left high school to join the Army. He served our country at Fort Bliss in Texas from 1979 – 1985. He lived in Florida for many years and loved the beach. To him, moving to Texas was one of the hardest things for him to do. He was so unhappy for the first six months. Then he met Tonya online. Once they met in person, they were inseparable. They were married June 20, 2015 by her grandfather while at a family reunion. Together they served at Church Unlimited and also lead a life group. He attended college for the first time in January 2021 at the age of 58. He and Tonya were working together to be Christian Marriage Counselors. Harry never stopped improving himself to help others.

Harry lived a life many of us can only strive for. He was always happy and doing what he could to uplift others. He was always the first to arrive and sometimes the last to leave. He would do anything and everything he could to help someone and did it with a joyful heart. He saw it as “I get to do this” instead of “I need to do this.”

Harry was preceded in death by his father, George Crow, and his niece, Brandi Rossmoine.

Harry is survived by his mother, Billie Crow; his brother, Steve Rossmoine; his wife, Tonya Rossmoine; his seven children: Johnathan Rossmoine, Jessica (Everett) Young, Ashley (Alex) Holy, Cody (Candace) Fedler, Michael Rossmoine, Jaclyn (Jacob) Fernandez, and Stephanie Rossmoine and his seven grandchildren: Skip Holt, Zander, Zea, and Lucy Dempsey, Juliette Fernandez, Annabelle Holy, and Zaylin Young.

Harry’s Celebration of Life will be held at Church Unlimited located at 24610 US 281 San Antonio, TX 78258 on Wednesday, March 09, 2022 at 1:30 p.m.

Those of us who remain behind will carry on his memory and good works until we can meet again in God’s sheltering embrace.
