Federal Response Center® Achieves UL CAVS Certification for AVS-01

(Springfield, MO) – The Federal Response Center® (FRC) has become one of the first in the world to earn Underwriters Laboratories’ (UL) new Central Station Alarm Validation Scoring (CAVS) certification, verifying compliance with The Monitoring Association’s (TMA) Alarm Validation Scoring Standard (AVS-01).

Over the past 18 months, TeamFederal worked to refine response protocols, deploy automations, and train operators to meet the requirements of AVS-01. UL’s rigorous audit and inspection process confirmed the center’s full compliance to the standard.

Developed collaboratively by TMA, public safety leaders, and the alarm industry, AVS-01 provides a standardized way for monitoring centers to assess alarm data and deliver an alarm score to 9-1-1 centers. The goal: improve apprehension rates, enhance officer safety through data-driven situational awareness, and reduce unnecessary dispatches caused by false alarms.

With its specialty in serving banks and credit unions, the FRC is now uniquely positioned as the first regional, full-service security provider of its kind to carry the AVS-01 certification. This milestone builds on a TeamFederal legacy that was started in 1969 by Former U.S. Congressman from Missouri, Mel Hancock.
