Cabs & Caves Tour at Coppola’s Inglenook Estate Winery
If you had to pick just one winery – a single “Must see in Napa”, that has the charm, character and charisma of Napa Valley all wrapped up into one – Inglenook takes the prize. Celebrated as one of America’s most distinguished wine estates, the Inglenook Chateau has produced some of the most influential wines of the 20th century. Purchased by Gustave Niebaum in 1879, the estate property is the oldest original vineyard in the heart of Cabernet country on the famed Rutherford Bench. Continuing Niebaum’s passion to produce wines rivaling the great chateaus of Bordeaux, Francis and Eleanor Coppola have maintained that rich heritage by reuniting the original Chateau and surrounding vineyards, which now produce their award-winning organically grown Estate Wines. After a warm welcome and a dash of chilled wine, you will be taken on a complete “sip & swirl” tour of their estate including their 40,000 square feet of caves as well as a collection of wine and movie memorabilia! After this tour, you’ll be treated to a lovely seated tasting in the stylish salon/cellar. Inglenook’s history, architecture & the ambiance is fascinating, not to mention their elegant wines. As you might say about one of Francis Ford Coppola’s films – “it’s a must see!”
Price per person: $260
Price includes: Roundtrip minicoach transportation from The Meritage Resort; Tour Guide/Escort; Complete tour of Francis and Eleanor Coppola’s Inglenook Winery; Splash of chilled wine upon arrival and seated tasting after the tour in the salon/cellar; Hotel prepared boxed lunch and bottled water upon departure from hotel; All applicable taxes, gratuities and fees.
